I've just noticed another post that didn't upload from the end of November so here it is.... I definitely need to check these actually go on her after I write them!!
We've got the carpet down!! It really bex and soft and makes it much more cosy!! We've got the table and chairs and the Welsh dresser coming tomorrow and we need to move the tv down!

Below are a few more photos of the house we have taken recently. We have been having a bit of a break but there have still been some changes.
We got a new mirror today from Home Sense, it was only £25! We've just rested it on the fireplace for now but I think we will attach it onto the wall a bit higher up!
We've got some christmas money so we're going to get a dehumidifier as out digital thing still says it is too humid! We need to get some blinds to so we can stop using the spare chip boards in the lounge window at night! I think we're going to get some wooden slatted blinds in the lounge.
I made an order on John Lewis as we ha a voucher to spend so I will show you what I bought web it arrives!
I've started getting some christmas decorations out today!! Hopefully we can put the tree up soon! The owl isn't really Christmassy but it's an oil burner and definately smells Christmassy!
We need to get two Christmas stockings and hang them on the fireplace!
The furniture is here! We're sitting in the lounge watching The Apprentice right now! The sofa is nice and comfy!! And we had tea at the table!
We've just got some cheap lampshade for a few pounds each. And we've put the spare chipboard from the floor up at the windows for now until we get blinds. We can just take them down in the day.
The carpet is coming on Tuesday and we can't wait to be able to sit in the lounge and eat at the dining room table! The furniture is coming on Wednesday that's stored in various places then we should be all set!
We gave the lounge a bit clean this weekend and sorted out the last touch ups! The windows are clean, the plug sockets have been changed, the fireplace had been attached and the kitchen door had been cleaned!
I'm not sure what's going on in the garden at the moment but the plants I have planted have been flowering and the bulbs are coming up!! Hopefully they will go back to normal for next year! I think maybe I didn't plant the bulbs deep enough and it had been warm so that could be why?!
We've got a few solar lights now along the path which are really good. We've got some little ones from poundstretcher for £1 each and some bigger ones from Grandma and Grandad! We've also bought a solar security light for the back door so we can see where to put the key, it seems really good so I think we will get one for where we park the cars too.
Last week the plug sockets stopped working in the lounge and utility room, when the electrician came to fix it we found out that the switch in the fuse box had melted!! Luckily it's all sorted now without too much damage or expense!
Nathan has been working hard in the lounge this week getting everything ready before the carpet comes on Tuesday. He has sorted out te light switches so all 3 for the lounge are on 1 switch and not in a random order! He has also been properly attaching the LED lights over the picture rail. We need to finish off touching up the painting and the messy jobs then clean up before the carpet comes.
I started lifting up the laminate flooring in the hallway so it wouldn't be in the way for the join of the carpet. The tiles are a bit different by the door which is quite cool. I've cleaned the tiles once but they are so dirty that it will take a few times just to get the dirt off before we start to get it all back to a good condition.
The last photo is after I cleaned it. I need to scub it a bit near the bottom right of the photo. There's not too many broken tiles which is good!
The skirting boards are nearly finished now. They're attached and the wall has been filled in around them where the plaster didn't reach. We've done two coats of gloss so one more tomorrow morning and they will be done. We just need to touch up the blue paint where the filler is.
"Martin Carpets" came today with his mobile carpet showroom! We've seen a carpet we like, it's grey and quite dark but nice fluffy! We're going to let him know on Monday that we want it and hopefully he can fit it in about 2 weeks!! Then we can finally get the furniture in and live in there!
I've been taking apart my chair today and it's got horse hair inside it!! It must be pretty old! I'm going to put some extra padding over the top. It was hard work getting the pins out but I've nearly finished now. I've ordered the fabric from eBay so hopefully that will be here soon.
I've also been bleaching my dressing table to get the black mark out and I think it's working!
The wood still needs to dry out but once it has I'm going to do a few coats of wax to darken it again and it think it will be fine! I put a bit of wax on on the last photo to see what it will look like and I think it will work well. There is one bit that's quite deep on the left but it's not too big.
We've also finally gotten rid of the prepaid electric and has metre and were on the normal payment method now so we don't have to go to the shop to top it up and make sure if doesn't run out!! It should also be cheaper now!
A quick video to show you the new lights in the dining room! They're LED lights in a strip that nathan has put on top of the picture rail! We change change the brightness via remote control!
The skirting boards are still in the process of being attached in various ways then we will paint them.
Nathan has tiled and grouted the fireplaces this week.
Today we hired a tool to cut the corners for the skirting boards and Nathan has been cutting them all to size. It looks so much better with them in and less like a building site. We just need to attach them and paint them now!

I've sanded down my dressing table and waxed it! I jus need to clean the brass bits on uh handles and reattach the mirror then it will be finished!
I've stripped the paint off the door handles in the kitchen too, they were painted white before. I forgot to take a photo but they were similar to the ones on the other side of the door on the photo below. They're pretty black now so I'm going to clean them up a bit more then go over them with black paint.
