Video Update

Here's the latest video update of the house! The lounge is finished now Part from a few extra touches, same with the front bedroom!

We've still got some unpacking and sorting out to do. We're having a bit of break over Christmas and then we will carry on in the new year!

Getting Some Xmas Decorations Out!

I've started getting some christmas decorations out today!! Hopefully we can put the tree up soon! The owl isn't really Christmassy but it's an oil burner and definately smells Christmassy! 

We need to get two Christmas stockings and hang them on the fireplace! 

Moving Into The Lounge

The furniture is here! We're sitting in the lounge watching The Apprentice right now! The sofa is nice and comfy!! And we had tea at the table! 

We've just got some cheap lampshade for a few pounds each. And we've put the spare chipboard from the floor up at the windows for now until we get blinds. We can just take them down in the day.

Ready For The Carpet

The carpet is coming on Tuesday and we can't wait to be able to sit in the lounge and eat at the dining room table! The furniture is coming on Wednesday that's stored in various places then we should be all set! 

 

 We gave the lounge a bit clean this weekend and sorted out the last touch ups! The windows are clean, the plug sockets have been changed, the fireplace had been attached and the kitchen door had been cleaned! 

The Garden

I'm not sure what's going on in the garden at the moment but the plants I have planted have been flowering and the bulbs are coming up!! Hopefully they will go back to normal for next year! I think maybe I didn't plant the bulbs deep enough and it had been warm so that could be why?!

We've got a few solar lights now along the path which are really good. We've got some little ones from poundstretcher for £1 each and some bigger ones from Grandma and Grandad! We've also bought a solar security light for the back door so we can see where to put the key, it seems really good so I think we will get one for where we park the cars too.

Updates!

Last week the plug sockets stopped working in the lounge and utility room, when the electrician came to fix it we found out that the switch in the fuse box had melted!! Luckily it's all sorted now without too much damage or expense!

Nathan has been working hard in the lounge this week getting everything ready before the carpet comes on Tuesday. He has sorted out te light switches so all 3 for the lounge are on 1 switch and not in a random order! He has also been properly attaching the LED lights over the picture rail. We need to finish off touching up the painting and the messy jobs then clean up before the carpet comes. 

I started lifting up the laminate flooring in the hallway so it wouldn't be in the way for the join of the carpet. The tiles are a bit different by the door which is quite cool. I've cleaned the tiles once but they are so dirty that it will take a few times just to get the dirt off before we start to get it all back to a good condition. 

The last photo is after I cleaned it. I need to scub it a bit near the bottom right of the photo. There's not too many broken tiles which is good!

Carpet Booked

Just a quick post to say we've booked our carpet in the lounge and dinin room in for 2 weeks time! Then we can finally move in to it! 

Millie approves of the fireplaces and made herself at home inside one, she even took her welly off!
